What can you say about restaurants in Dubai? The standard's generally very high indeed, but most of the better restaurants are based in hotels because of the licensing laws (you can't serve alcohol in a 'freehold' property, it has to be a hotel) and that means a great deal of 'international cuisine' and career chef food flying around.
Galle, really. And not terribly comprehensive, so Lonely Planet can sleep soundly. But it's better than nothing... acutally, come to think of it, this is probably more useful than the Sri Lanka Lonely Planet...
Sanur and Ubud. Because I won't, ever, go to Kuta.
